MINDFULNESS IN THE WORKPLACE
Mindfulness in the Workplace is a class designed to make the practice and benefits of mindfulness meditation accessible to the professional community in Chicago. Beyond the cultivation of attentiveness, mindfulness practice can stimulate impressive changes in how you think and feel. Imagine the experience of more control over your day while you are also happier and more productive at work. Imagine impacting your neural activation patterns in a way that resembles that of your younger self – more efficient and flexible. Imagine learning skills that can be integrated into your life as it is.
Mindfulness practice helps participants cultivate clear, moment-to moment awareness about what is happening. This clarity provides the opportunity to respond rather than react. In this introductory class, we will explore several ways of practicing mindfulness featured in the core curriculum of MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction). Information and exercises targeted to enhance interpersonal effectiveness will prepare you to expand your influence, and more skillfully approach the inevitable difficult interactions in life.
It’s possible – with a one month commitment learning the skills of mindfulness. Consider attending a free information session to learn about the practice and research that supports it. Check the links below for more comprehensive information.

"Definitely would recommend this course – I appreciated the instructor’s vision and sensitivity to the need for such training and focus. The course has initiated a change in the experience of life (awareness and appreciation) for me. I’m excited about the growth as a person that I expect to experience in the future. I see this as an epiphany. I will continue to engage in the practices learned here. Saying that, I feel it would be helpful to have a refresher – 1-2 sessions periodically."
